Founded in the fall of 2006, CMA Jazz Ensembles are a mixture of students and faculty of all ages. The focus of these ensembles is to provide students with a real world jazz/improvisation experience that is not found at any other private music school.

The arrangements for the ensembles are created by CMA faculty member Russell Myers. The group has performed extensively at the Short North Gallery Hop, Comfest, Olentangy Village, Espresso Yourself Music Cafe and other venues around Columbus.

CMA Jazz Ensembles provide the opportunity for students to actually compose and/or arrange their own pieces for the group to play. The focus is extremely performance oriented. Participants must be taking private lessons and show a high degree of accomplishment on their instrument.

Participating faculty members are: Russell Myers, Wes Miller, Jane Watson and Emiline Ellis.

The jazz ensemble is available for private parties and functions. Call to inquire on date availability.
