Alex
is a private trumpet, trombone and beginning brass instructor,
who holds a bachelor degree in trumpet performance from Otterbein
University.
He has performed in a variety of ensembles including Drum and
Bugle Corps, Big Bands, Wind Ensembles, Brass Quintets and Brass
Bands. In addition, he has performed in many local orchestras
such as the Westerville Symphony, New Albany Symphony and the
Central Ohio Symphony. Alex has also attended trumpet masterclasses
held by trumpet greats such as Ronald Romm, a founding member
of the Canadian Brass and Alan Couch, a former trumpet player
for the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra.
Alex has benefited in many ways from his participation in music
throughout his education. He believes learning an instrument
can teach students many qualities that will help them in other
school subjects and enrich their lives. Some of these qualities
include time management, commitment, dedication, leadership and
an appreciation for the arts.
